Each month we select a past Invisible Folk Club radio show to release on the podcast channel. Jon Bickley is curator and presenter, nothing in the broad church of folk related music is off limits.

Radio shows on our podcast channel are often those where the songs are longer, where the music is allowed to stretch and breathe. Maybe something a little more challenging.

We know our podcast listeners have the time, space and inclination to play the long game, to allow something to evolve.

There is definite Canadian feel to this playlist (original radio broadcast 5th August 2018):

Joni Mitchell - Refuge of the Roads
Joni Mitchell - Moon At The Window
Joni Mitchell - For The Roses
Joni Mitchell - Judgement of the Moon and Stars
Joni Mitchell - Woodstock
Joni Mitchell - The Last Time I Saw Richard
Joni Mitchell - The Circle Game
Neil Young - New Mama
Jon Bickley & Di Stone - Not In My Name
Odette Michell - Mockingbird
Neil Young - Old Man

As is often the case when family members sing together Lizzy & Mandy Hardingham's intuitive harmonies are a delight. In this podcast they play a varied selection of songs and chat with host Jon Bickley about their influences, songwriting, choirs, opportunities for young folk artists, studying music production at university, and much more.

Lizzy is a young musician playing traditional or self-composed acoustic music. Earlier this year (2018) she was a finalist in the prestigious New Roots competition for young musicians under the age of 25. On the back of this success Lizzy has a number of gigs coming up, see latest info at https://www.facebook.com/lizzyhardingham/

Lizzy's mum Mandy is an experienced performer singing regularly at Watford Folk Club with a mix of traditional and contemporary songs.
