Professional musician Craig Joiner and host Jon Bickley trade songs and discuss the craft of songwriting. Craig plays selections from his recently released album Art Of Landing. As well as being a songwriter he also composes incidental music for film, television and radio. He explains the workings behind the industry that creates what is known as library music.

Art Of Landing is Craig's first solo album. It is a collection of songs with contemporary folk and country influences. Inspiration is drawn from a wide variety of artists from John Denver to John Martyn to Rush!

Oz Hardwick is a writer, he is author of six collections of poetry. His most recent volume was published in 2017 entitled 'The House of Ghosts and Mirrors'. He is also a Professor of Creative Writing at Leeds Trinity University.

A keen collaborator with other artists, Oz has had work performed by classical musicians in UK concert halls, by flamenco musicians in Italian villas, and with experimental sound and film artists in an Australian cinema.

In this podcast, along with fellow poet Jon Bickley, he discusses influences, publishing, live readings and offers advice for aspiring poets.
