Graeme Morrell is a fine guitarist and excellent singer. In this podcast he talks to host Jon Bickley about how the discovery of his musical hero, veteran English singer/songwriter Michael Chapman, shaped his own guitar style and musical outlook.

Graeme performs a selection of Chapman's best songs doing full justice to their gritty beauty and talks about the man and his music. He is occasionally joined by his old friend and previous Invisible Folk Club guest singer/guitarist David Artus.

Michael Chapman first became known on the London and Cornish folk circuits in the mid 60s playing a blend of atmospheric and autobiographical songs with a distinctive finger picking guitar style. His earlier albums were released on the highly respected Harvest label of which Fully Qualified Survivor (1970) is probably the best known. Although he never really made the big time he has always had an enthusiastic and loyal following. He is still touring and recording, his talent remains undiminished.
